It’s well known that China won’t stand for any criticism. There, opponents of the communist regime are simply not tolerated. But it seems Beijing now thinks it also has the right to ignore international borders and silence dissent anywhere it sees fit. Around the world it’s setting up illegal outposts called “Chinese Overseas Police Service Stations”, and as the name implies, the objective of these offices is clear. Our law enforcement agencies deny there are any of these stations in Australia, even though Chinese authorities openly publicise their existence.
But as Tara Brown reports in a special 60 MINUTES investigation, that’s not the end of the intimidation. China is also using disgraceful new tactics to target Australians who dare to speak out.

Maybe they don’t want to find you because they don’t feel threatened. If you had passed around an anti-Biden poem near the capital on January 6th, the FBI would probably already have you in a gulag.
Sad, but true.
It was years ago, back when I lived in NY and my father was still alive. I offered copies to Chinese nationals entering the Consulate, but they just motioned for me to go away and ignored me. That must have been before this policy of persecuting anyone who spoke against the PRC. I’m fortunate. Now all I have to worry about is incoming missiles.
Oh, yeah. The America I grew up in no longer openly exists, but is dormant.
I was under the impression that the Chinese police in other nations (i.e. USA) had power over people who had loved ones in China. Say the wrong thing about the Chicoms, even in the U.S., and your Chinese family back home pay the price.
You all serious guilty to violating One-China!
So now we know who killed Bruce Lee./s
We making clear already to Jackie Chan if wanting more government job, even bounty we pay in US $ okay.
“Chinese Overseas Police Service Stations”
COPS Stations, really?
They are mainly interested in intimidating ethnic Chinese abroad.

Two New York residents were charged Monday for operating a Chinese police station in lower Manhattan, New York, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Monday.
“Harry” Lu Jianwang and Chen Jinping were arrested Monday morning at their New York City homes and will appear before a judge in Brooklyn Monday afternoon, according to the DOJ’s press release. The charges include “conspiring to act as agents of the [People’s Republic of China] government and “obstructing justice by destroying evidence of their communications with an [Ministry of Public Security] official.”
The pair allegedly did not inform the U.S. government that they were helping operate the police station under the direction of an MPS official, according to the DOJ. The station, which was located on a single floor in a Chinatown office building, was closed in fall 2022 after the FBI launched an investigation during which Jianwang and Jinping allegedly admitted to having deleted digital communication between them and the MPS official....
There have been sightings of fake ChiNess police vehicles in Australia and California that appeared around the time of the Hong Kong protests and Covid outbreak.
I don’t know if any of the drivers has been identified.
The CCP was in quite a bit of internal turmoil then.

Chinese police will help patrol tourist destinations in Paris this summer after a rise in muggings and attacks on Chinese tourists, a source in France’s interior ministry said on Tuesday.
The China.org site, reported that French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve had said that the government invited the Chinese police officers who will patrol tourist spots and serve as interpreters for Chinese tourists.
The site quoted Nouvelles d’Europe, another Chinese-run news group, as saying that at least 10 Chinese officers would be coming to Paris, adding that France’s interior ministry declined to confirm that figure....
(If he could be, he'd probably say something about being Japanese, not Chinese).
Nick Yemana was supposed to be a Japanese American as is the actor who played him - true name Goro Suzuki.
My mother-in-law knew him at Topaz.

He was also in a MASH episode. Said that Frank Burns had a real “fertilizer face”.
yeah, I remember that!
