And I have never forgotten how infuriating it was to watch Biden’s conduct during Thomas’s SC Confirmation hearing. Biden was HELL bent on destroying Thomas’s reputation and career by bringing in a “star witness”—Anita Hill!
Having had a job that involved handling cases of sexual harassment, I certainly had NO sympathy for anyone who was guilty of such behavior!
But, as I watched the hearings, I came to suspect the credibility of Hill’s testimony, and also suspect that Biden was only using her to keep Thomas —a clear CONSERVATIVE—from becoming a SC Justice.
All these years later, my respect for Thomas has grown as greatly as has my contempt for Biden!
