Hasn’t this case with SD already been in the court and President Trump was acquitted? So it’s Double Jeopardy, being tried twice for the same offense.
This case supposedly addresses a campaign violation on Trump’s part because, it’s claimed, he should have recorded the Stormy Daniel’s payment as a campaign expenditure, since it helped his presidential campaign. The New York law being used has never been interpreted in the way it is, now.
If memory serves me correctly, the New York statute that Trump supposedly violated is a misdemeanor violation, which the New York prosecutor’s office has changed to a felony through some sort of legal voodoo (although I’m not certain on that point).
