There has been much made of “the recent rise in ‘anti-Semitism.’”
Some want to turn the whole discussion to the specifics of the current IDF operations in Gaza and elsewhere as if the ‘anti-Semitism’ that has arisen is solely about that particular situation.
I don’t think that’s going to work.
America was in a lot of trouble before October 7th. Getting people to accept Israel’s response to 10/7 will do nothing to allay their other concerns.
Yes it goes beyond how Israel is responding to Oct 7. Jews have also been at the forefront of leading the demographic change in this country, apparently thinking they would be safer in a “more diverse” country. They don’t seem to care that the native European ethnicities that bult this country would resent this project of theirs, but they are now finding out otherwise. Leftist Jews have been at the forefront of many if not most of the detrimental changes in this country, so it shouldn’t be surprising many people resent them for this. It’s not antisemitism to be against this leftist Jewish agenda, or is it antisemitic to be against Zionism either contrary to what the ADL thinks.
