I’m a lot more concerned about Chinese domination of chip production vs. Chinese ownership of farmland (which to my knowledge can’t be shipped to Beijing.)
I’m not a big booster of fed aid to corporations, but if you want to see home-produced chips that’ll be what it takes.
Subsidies are going to Taiwan Semi, Intel, Micron, Samsung, and Texas Instruments.
Projects will begin in Arizona, Ohio, New Mexico and Oregon.
