Bob Dornan was from Orange County, Sant Monica is in central coastal LA County, check your congressional districts.
In 1976, Dornan was elected from the 27th district which ran along the coast from the Palos Verdes Peninsula through Santa Monica. As I mentioned earlier, I worked on this campaign, walking precincts. After the district was gerrymandered, he moved to Garden Grove, in Orange County, where he again served as a Congressman from the 38th district.
