I don’t know why anyone is complaining about this here on FR. Graham actually makes Trump look like a more reasonable candidate.

I agree with Trump.
This is a state issue.
The Federal government needs to stop interfering with everyone.
Tenth Amendment.

“I respectfully disagree with President Trump’s statement that abortion is a states’ rights issue,” [Graham] said in a statement responding to Trump. You also disagree with SCOTUS, Binky.

By saying it's a State's rights issue, President Trump is stating it is not federally Constitutional, to wit; should never have been included AS a Constitutional item.
Which is correct interpretation of our Constitution.

I’m constantly hearing my liberal friends tar all of conservatives with the extremism of this idiot. None of them listen to Trump. They listen to liberal sources saying what Trump supposedly said. We need to repeat “State Rights!” over and over whenever the topic is raised and refuse to go further into this briar patch.

“to back away from endorsing a national 15-week abortion ban, declaring that leaving the issue entirely to the states “runs contrary to an American consensus that would limit late-term abortions”
That may be, but I think there is also an “American consensus” that agrees with Justice Alito - it’s a matter for the states, as the Constitution provides no federal mandate concerning abortion.
The only manner of agreeming with Graham, in my mind, would be legislation seeking a Constitutional amendment, not a mere federal law.

The Democrats did not turn us into a socialist nightmare overnight. They chipped away at our once great country, bit by bit over the course of many decades.
This is what we need to do.
We need “common sense abortion control”.
Start with 15 weeks and go from there.

Graham is just asking for the Supreme Court to have Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and John Roberts to all be replaced with Sotomayer clones or to have Biden pack in another 6 to make it 15 seats.

I understand the political expedience of distancing the party from Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, but if you’re ideologically anti-abortion I can’t see how you’d take issue with Graham.

Yes, im sure you’ll convince everyone by November of this year. Do the leg work required to build support and dont try to make a national election a referendum on abortion.
