Isn’t it an open secret that the NSA and CIA plus the FBI and police departments are already snooping on emails, texts, positions of cars’ computers going past sensor checkpoints on the streets, and phone conversations?
Already true in the days of the first edition of The Puzzle Palace: Inside the National Security Agency by James Bamford (1982) and the sequel Body of Secrets: Anatomy of the Ultra-Secret National Security Agency (2002).
On the tv series Bull the quick summary for the audience had
“I want every phone call, every email, every text, every search he made on Google and every place he drove.”
“Should I ask where we’re getting all this information?”
“No, you shouldn’t. We just get it.”
