I have friends who are State Troopers assigned to the border.
Problem is the highways are full of people driving 20 to 30 mph over the speed limit on the highways because they know there aren’t enough troopers on the roads.
I’m glad the troopers are on the border however.

I am a little curious..
It says, "state police".
City, county and state troopers are ALL state police. When I was a deputy sheriff (about 3 decades ago), it was an obligation to always be armed, whether on duty or off duty, state wide.
The Texas license certification to be a peace officer (in Texas) ,which is required for all of the above, required a state certification test (TCLEOSE, which it appears that it was renamed to TCOLE this year, for some reason).
Anyway, my question is, would this include all Texas peace officers, and if not, why not?
