i’m glad you’re keeping at her. you must have a lot of faith.
the Bible reports a lot of spiritual blindness that you can scarce believe. possibly Pharaoh Amenhotep II (or whomever was the Pharaoh of the Exodus) was the blindest ever. but, you can’t help but continue to be shocked at some of it. they’re seemingly impervious to the obvious and completely unteachable once they’re ensconced in their mental irons.
i’m old enough to have experienced it myself—eventually granted God’s Grace to see the light (thank God for our Savior and His work). now i’ve seen it in others enough times that it no longer shocks me like it once did. God really does harden their hearts, poor souls.
one of the greatest blessings that God gives a believer, i’m convinced, is the rare ability to see when you’re mistaken given enough evidence or reason, and the ability
and grace to fight your way out of such mental prisons.
Your post reminds me of how important it is with grandkids. I made a really bad statement to my grandson but was able to apologize and retrieve the situation. I hope that incident will impact his treatment of others.
