The Israelis are correct to have an all out war and utterly destroy them. They recognize what this is.

Personally, I think they're wasting their time. Set up two camps. Round up women and children in one camp. Then all the men in the other camp. Assume every male is a Hamas terrorist.

Then wait out the terrorists hiding in the tunnels. Eventually, they'll starve to death. Even if it takes a year.

I know what you mean. But the great Arab war tradition is fight to a point, then cease fire and evacuate all the fighters.
We evacuated the PLO from Lebanon. We let ISIS escape when their capitol was surrounded.

They are not accustomed to complete merciless devastation and complete capitulation.

It’s a very good object lesson for all the surrounding moslems that the game has changed and they CAN go too far.
