I suspect they will have blinking red lights on top.
Ones I have seen in the desert do.

Oh - good point. That would be obnoxious. Here in Washington state they have installed lots of wind mills on the otherwise beautiful hills along the highway passes. The first time I drove through there after dark I got disoriented by all of the red lights (I was sleepy...).
