Who is actually building them? Who will operate them? Why didn’t they just underwrite loans to Tesla and ChargeAmerica and a few of the others who build these thing for a living?

Of course $7 billion had to go to the Blue Ribbon committee to determine the best location for these EV charging stations.

They must have had hundreds of meetings with stakeholders to collect attitudes from marginalized and victimized communities. They needed to keep in mind the latest CRT, DEI, and LGBTQIAA+ recommendations.

They certainly had to have several fact finding trips to places like Tahiti, the Swiss Alps, the French Riviera, etc. to see how those communities were locating their EV stations.

I'm surprised they were able to build 7 stations so quickly!

Now THOSE are the real problem. The Tesla ones around here are OK, but the 3rd party one all suck and are way overpriced.

Of course, I can’t recall having ever paid for a charge at a Tesla station, which my influence my evaluation of them. Again, around here they seem to work.

And the crackheads in my town discovered that each charger cord has a couple of bucks worth of copper in it!

Really need to follow the money and see all the bank accounts, yachts, and mansions that have been built with that fraud-gravy money...

Obama and solar panel companies. How’d that work out? Same game. Same results. Taxpayers lose.

You can build all the wells and hand pumps you want, but if there is no water under that pump, you are just pumping air.

That’s because dems don’t “throw” money directly to the alleged beneficiaries of their largesse. They set up orgs to distribute the money, and that’s where most of the money goes to vanish, among friends, family, donors, etc.

Why was even one built with taxpayer money? Aren't subsidies enough?

We've/taxpayers have already helped to make Elon Musk the richest man in the world with taxpayer funded subsidies,

You mean a government program, from a government that can’t sneeze without creating more graft and fraud, couldn’t even do something as simple as this?

I know... Let’s toss TWICE as much money at the issue. /DNC
