The Florida Legislature and Governor DeSantis fixed this insanity here......any state that does follow that model wants it to happen.
Doesn’t
Mass stupidity!
The squatters are suing the owners?
I Hate New York.
And I ain’t too fond of Illinois, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, New Jersey, or Colorado.

Simple solution. Loser pays legal reform. If the plaintiff has nothing their lawyer pays. Watch the # of lawsuits go down.
They need to pay their fair share, don’t they?
Dont waste your time hating NY. They’re getting what they deserve. The voters of the State like this kind of craziness.
Too many scummy lawyers who just want a payday - or a rep that will then lead them to a payday.
I understand this is how it’s done in Britain - preventing tons frivolous lawsuits that clog up the courts and waste everyone’s time.
Loser pay needs to be implemented here as well.
Why pick on the plaintiffs? It’s the lawyers who should pay!
I wonder on what basis they are suing. Very weird!
