Working a trade is good I guess. If you want to spend your whole working life outside, working without heat or A/C. If you find that attractive go for it. I prefer good indoor work with women around that I pretend not to notice.
My son always wanted to work a trade so he skipped college. In his trade, he works inside all day. In the early years he worked hard on a crew (inside work, lots of demo), and due to his work ethic and leadership ability, his company paid for his certifications and now he is a project manager with his own crew and accounts. He has a company truck, great benefits, and makes six figures. No union.
Not all trades are outside jobs.
Without people working in trade, we’d all be in deep ****. Be grateful for those plumbers, electricians, auto mechanics, construction workers, etc. We’d have it a lot rougher without them, and they’re as important to the economy as any office worker.
