Wow. And raking in the payoffs for the DC favors given out.
Like Hunter.
“His exit was perfectly timed for greatest harm.”
MTG has filed to have Gallagher expelled in order to vacate the seat so that a special election can be held in this District.
Gallagher must leave or be expelled prior to April 9th I believe, after that, the seat will remain vanact the remainder of the year.
The timing of this exit is NOT a coincidence, as Bongino says, it’s a double-barreled middle finger.
Correct.
Soros must be passing out a fortune to these turkeys
to spend more time with their families.
*******
Probably takes a lot of dollars for some. Just a guess
I don’t know that wasting time shows you are a “fighter” - sounds more like just being vane and symbolic.
But - he could have indeed done more to prevent this - such as putting public pressure using the bully pulpit for not resigning in time for a special election is something he could have done and has not - get on the conservative talk shows, Fox News, etc. demanding he resign in time to allow for a special election could possibly shame him into doing so. He hasn’t done that. There was a time when the conservative mediasphere would have done that on its own - the talk radio circuit, etc. “Call this guys office and demand he resign in time for a special election! What’s the difference to him in resigning two weeks early? It wouldn’t make a difference to him, but could make a huge difference for the country.” Hasn’t happened. Just us reading articles likes this and commenting on news forums.
Same way we used to go toe to toe with Democrats on raising money for our candidates and matching them ad for ad and working our tails off just as much as they did...in the last few election cycles, our side has basically rolled over and played dead...across the board - whether they be establishment or “MAGA” candidates...the Democrats and their base have outraised and outworked us dramatically.
Nonsense. His wife is drop dead gorgeous.
Bingo. He’s just another traitor to the American people, who sold out his constituency to take a job that no doubt was gained because of some backdoor deal.
The Democrats are doing a better job of motivating their base to vote. You have to do stuff like this. Even if it's "grandstanding".
Lucky for them no one expects a return of favors for handing out money. /S
Movie Used Cars. Kurt Russell was in it.
Roy L. Fuchs (played by Jack Warden)
“I’ll tell you something. This country is going to the dogs. You know, it used to be when you bought a politician, that son of a b#@h stayed bought.”
Of course. BUT, hold the vote anyway. Put everybody on record.
Interesting. Thanks to all posters.
Your response sounds timid. For political reasons, you put everybody on record. Not sure why you want to shy away from doing that.
We just did that in CD-4 to fill Buck's seat.
On Capitol Hill she is referred to as "the beard".
Being gay is nothing of which to be ashamed, is it?
"Conservatives are angry that Gallagher’s poorly timed resignation will leave the district without representation for the better part of a year."
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
First, the bottom line ...
The broader picture is that political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because it is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
Regarding RINO Gallagher leaving his seat, House Democrats and RINOs, also Wisconsin Democratic governor, seem to be ignoring that the only option that the Constitution gives for House vacancies is for governor to call for election to fill the empty seat.
"Article I, Section 2, Clause 4: When vacancies happen in the Representation from any State, the Executive Authority thereof shall issue Writs of Election to fill such Vacancies."
In fact Gallagher's action and governor's inaction, other renegade states as well, is arguably lawfare against the constitutionally enumerated voting power of citizens imo, such action punishable not only under federal law, but also under Section 2 of the 14th Amendment (14A), that section a penalty for states where ballot box fraud has occurred.
18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law:
"Whoever, under color of any law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom, willfully subjects any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or to different punishments, pains, or penalties, on account of such person being an alien, or by reason of his color, or race, than are prescribed for the punishment of citizens, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if bodily injury results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include the use, attempted use, or threatened use of a dangerous weapon, explosives, or fire, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death." --18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law
Consider the zero tolerance, hair trigger wording of Section 2 of 14A.
"is denied to any"
"or in any way abridged,"
"14th Amendment, Section 2: Representatives shall be apportioned among the several States according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each State, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced [emphases added] in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State." [Apportionment of Representatives]
Again, the broader picture is that corrupt political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
Entirely possible they do - you never know what all can be involved.
It is also entirely possible this is being done out of pure pettiness - he voted against impeaching Mayorkas and took a lot of flack for it. He was disgusted by the pushback and decided he would literally take his marbles and go home - and stick it to the people who criticized him by resigning later, refusing to consider it would affect more than those for him he was sticking it to - namely the country at large. Can mere human pettiness cause someone this significant? You better believe it. The fact he lined up a lucrative job vs. just quietly fading away into the background would seem to indicate it could be nothing more than this...and “spending time with family” doesn’t seem to be it, either, given he’s going to be doing a job that is quite a busy one.
Planter should be warned that if Gallagher is hired, their further government contracts would end.
Not by smart people.
Ordered - by who?
I wonder how much this cost Soros.
Do you think Gallagher will declare it as income on his IRS tax form next year?
