Blue state gun grabbers go after Glock

This is still more evidence that the Anti’s are to bog-ignorant of firearms to be able to exterminate them.

Most of Glock’s patents up to and including Gen3 have expired, so everybody and Tiny Tim is free to manufacture and sell replicas of Gen3 Glocks. And there are dozens of new companies that are selling Glock knock-offs, and many of them are fine firearms because Gaston designed the Glock to be easy and inexpensive to manufacture with a relative immunity to “stacking tolerances.” So all but a few of the component parts are impervious to “loose tolerances.”

And the most of the knock-offs — except those that market themselves as boutique ne-plus-ultra versions — sell for substantially less than the genuine article.

So if Glock were to shutter all its plants first thing Monday a.m., in a matter of a week or two the knock-offs would ramp up production and there’d be just as many NIB Glock-like handguns on sale as there are today.

So if anything, the Blue State Anti-Gun Genius Society could be doing the Glock replica companies a YUGE favor, but it won’t get any guns off the street. Not a one.
