EXCLUSIVE: An expert tells Daily Express US that China will be "worried" as ISIS-K "will try and attack inside China."

ISIS-K could try and target China next after killing 137 people in Moscow last Friday, an expert has chillingly warned.

Tajiki gunmen entered the Crocus City Hall and gunned down concertgoers before setting the building on fire.

The men were caught after the attack and were charged with terrorism offenses. Images of them being tortured also circulated online, with one man having part of his ear cut off while another was electrocuted through his genitals.

ISIS-K have long hated Russia due to Moscow's military campaign in Syria, where Vladimir Putin flattened cities in his efforts to destroy ISIS and bolster Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

ISIS-K have long hated Russia due to Moscow's military campaign in Syria, where Vladimir Putin flattened cities in his efforts to destroy ISIS and bolster Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

But Lucas Webber, an expert on terror groups in Asia, tells Daily Express US that ISIS-K also has another big enemy.

China's persecution of the Uighurs – a Muslim minority group based mainly in the Xinjiang province – has angered other Muslims around the world, and this could be one reason why ISIS-K may try to attack Beijing.

Mr Webber said: "China is a harder target given its geographical buffers and hardened borders. They are very tough on who they let into the country from Central Asia and South Asia.

"China's crackdown on the Uighurs is commonly cited by the ISIS-K branch."

He added: "ISIS-K kidnapped and killed two Chinese nationals in Pakistan in 2017, they attacked Chinese nationals in Kabul a year ago.

"ISIS-K is doing this as an offering to the Uighur militants to join them and help them attack China.

"China is very high on the priority list of targets for ISIS-K. The Chinese are worried about this, and there is reason to be as I think ISIS-K perhaps will try and attack inside China."

China will deal with it in almost the same manner as Russia. And in such a micromanaged society it won’t be hard to find the perpetrators and deal with them.

Don’t forget that Chinese people and interests are no longer strictly in-country. They’ve got their irons in lots of fires worldwide, with great sums of money invested. That, too, may be something to watch for.

I haven’t seen anything in the news lately, but Chinese companies and personnel have been attacked in Africa, where they are hated for their amazing racism, in Pakistan where they are viewed as causing more financial distress, in Afghanistan where they are hated more than Americans, and in several Asian countries who are sick of the Ugly Chinaman. I’m pretty sure none of those attackers have gone away.

Yup.

Neither Russia nor China cares about little niceties such as the Geneva Convention or human rights.

We are a moral society who does, which kind of hamstrings the strongest military (the US) that has ever existed. Not saying that's a bad thing, but it is a thing.

Israel also is hamstrung by such considerations.

That, and the US has weak leadership. <- understatement

But Russia and China are not hamstrung by such. They will simply go for wholesale slaughter.

These ISIS-K people are morons.

They don’t have to strike within China. China has financial interests all over the world now.

China would love nothing better than an excuse to raid the neighboring Stans for their resources.

Add on top China has a huge excess male population. Historically that almost always leads to war of one form or another.

China will deal with it in almost the same manner as Russia.

I'd say even worse, given China's reputation for human rights.

Those who carry out a terror attack either better make sure they die in it or can be GUARANTEED an escape.

Yep. Either direct that outwards or they face that threat internally.

A weakness China shares with Russia is its high level of corruption.

Perhaps this is offset by "Chinese keeping the corruption to other Chinese".

Not sure I'd want to bet on that. There are also splits within China. The Han Chinese are the top dogs. They are about 90-92 percent of the population. The other ethnics might be approachable, but may not be in the "right" spots.

A ton of explosives at the right spot on the Three Gorges dam would seriously hurt China.
