Former Ambassador to Iceland Jeff Gunter, a self-claimed “America First” candidate, has a history of funding anti-Trump Republicans such as Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney as he seeks to become the Republican nominee for Senate in Nevada.

• Over $8,000 donations in 2016 for Never Trump and former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), who later helped the Democrats lead the January 6 select committee.
• Over $14,650 donations to Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) from 2007 to 2020.
• $5,000 in donations to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign
• $7,700 in donations to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
• $7,500 in donations to anti-Trump Speaker John Boehner

First of all Cheney wasn’t anti trump in 2016. How many supported Romney for president? A mass majority on FR did and God help you if you didn’t. Collins is the best you’ll get in Maine. The others like McConnell and Boehner are not indicated as to when.

If you make any donations to any GOP candidate, not all, if any, goes to your candidate. The funds are funneled through any number of third parties. Winred, Goptriunph, RNC to name a few.

Once you give to any candidate your phone/text will never be yours again. They sell, trade, giveaway your personal number. Your personal number is passed around like a joint at a pot party.

Your phone will be overwhelmed by texts etc., sometimes several per hour.

The point is, even the low-life RINO in this article will likely receive some of what you donated to your candidate of choice.

Yep, and is guaranteed for life. In hindsight I should have set up a donation-specific email address. Not sure what's possible with the phone, repeatedly saying Stop or Reorting Junk doesn't work, the groups simply pass along the contact information to the next campaign.

I get solicitations from all over the country in places I've never lived, never voted in, and have zero interest in.

Agreed. I gave thousands to Trump through WinRed. They incessantly spam through emails, texts, and phone calls. I will never again donate through WinRed. Moreover, I will never vote for any candidate who is associated with WinRed

I’m signed onto the concept of RCV denying candidates with non-middle positions, but Maine does not vote red. Trump got only 1 of the 4 Electoral Votes there vs both Hillary and Biden.

And the Senate vote is not by congressional district.

She does represent the Maine voters there. You can’t be Senator of just one district.
