Republicans eked out a narrow win in the 2024 redistricting wars, gaining a single seat before the general election.

While there’s an outside chance of another last-minute redistricting before November, after two significant court rulings this week the House landscape is largely locked in place — and the GOP is breathing a sigh of relief that this mid-decade round of redistricting went its way.

The Democrat "counting rooms" may decide.

But if true, and Republicans succeed in holding the House, it will be a more conservative body as conservatives replace retiring moderates.

IMO, the bigger issue is the counting of illegal immigrants in the census, Democrats fight like crazy to include them for obvious reasons.

Florida gained 2 congressional seats after the 2020 census, I’ve seen estimates, if illegals were not counted, Florida would have gained up to 4 new seats.
