So what was on it?
This story is useless. Of course they took the “black box”.
I want to hear about the local harbor pilot who should have been piloting the vessel out of the harbor.
I wonder if the black box was powered by a battery pack or uninterruptible power source, because the whole ship appeared to go dark during the power outages. It’s hard to see in the video but it didn’t even look like there were backup lights on the bridge.
Soon to be right next to hunter’s laptop, never to be seen again.
They gotta have all the facts in order to create their story.
There’s what should be an interesting video describing the ship’s track from pier to collision embedded in this post from Borepatch, but I can’t get it to play past about 40 seconds. Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Lets hope the blackbox had power during the event. If it did not have a battery or its own power source then it would have recorded nothing for much of the event. If the navigation systems had no power then the box may also have not recorded anything since its inputs would have most likely have been dead.
btt
Have we learned yet the name of the pilot? Anybody know?
