Votebeat and its parent organizations sure seem like Leftist fronts proclaiming themselves independent...
If she’s lost the case already, discovery is in the rearview miror. Damages are the next step.
“Votebeat and its parent organizations sure seem like Leftist fronts proclaiming themselves independent...”
Frankly, I’d never heard of Votebeat before I saw this story. If you have a reliable source that gives a different take on events, that info would be valuable.
“If she’s lost the case already, discovery is in the rearview miror. Damages are the next step.”
She moved to dismiss. If she had won, the whole case would be over, and in her favor. Instead, though, she lost.
That loss didn’t end the case, though. It meant only that the plaintiff could continue to press his claim. The expectation was that the next step would be discovery, then a trial at which she could present the evidence of fraud.
The strange thing is that her filing cuts off any discovery about her allegations. It also cuts off a trial about the election procedures. Whether or not the jury was convinced, the trial would have been a great opportunity to publicize whatever evidence she had.
