My son-in-law has an internet presence that employs about 60 developers. His lease expired at the end of 2020. He never renewed it. His developers are actually more productive now.
Yes but developers are already self driven. We are talking the average worker who only works from home two hours out of the day. They require supervision or, their boss can lay off half the work force and tell those who work from home they have to work 8 hours or have their pay cut to 25% max.
Some people are reliable and fully capable of WFH, most are not.
