Even if there are innocent civilians, this is war. One side (Israel) is obeying the laws of armed conflict while the other side (Hamas), intentionally targeted civilians. Hamas are unlawful combatants, essentially terrorists, and deserve to be exterminated.
The moral, military necessity of destroying Hamas means it is not immoral to kill civilians in the process so long as minimum force necessary to achieve the military goal is used and civilians are not intentionally targeted. I think it would actually lead to more evil if combatants were allowed to use civilians as shields from attack. That ultimately leads to more civilian deaths.
Yes, what consequences? Kill HAMAS and their supports, rescue, dead or alive American and Israeli hostages. What is outrageous is Biden and Harris are resupplying HAMAS, giving them cover with demands for ceasefire and calls to not liberate Rafah, yet not a word about American citizens held hostage by HAMAS.
