Russia wants parts of Ukraine, nothing more.

What a load of mainstream media based hysteria you just posted. Come on now. Im not saying Russia is a good actor, far from it. It’s nothing like the Soviet Union of 1940, if only because it’s much weaker. It has no ability to threaten the Baltic republics under NATO protection - and if it did it still wouldnt affect the UK! Still of no interest.
Posting quotes from a Ukranian government agent doesnt make Ukraine an ally of the UK. There is no treaty, no alliance, no commonality of interests. Ukraine is NOT the west amd lies firmly in the Russian sphere of influence. Its fate doesnt affect the UK, frankly its none of their business. Governments are only instituted to protect the rights of the governed, not foreigners far away.
As for Russia “slaughtering civilians”, it’s a war, people die. Huge numbers of Russians have also been slaughtered. It’s tragic on both sides. Ukrankan lives arent more valuable than Russian ones.
Great Britain could have avoided war with Germany. So could the US. It can be done now as well far more easily with Russia.
