IMO, the IRS probably doesn't know their ass from their elbow right now. They've been hacked...which explains the overabundance of radio commercials offering tax relief.
Don't forget. A whistleblower gets 10% of whatever is collected from a delinquent account.
The very first thing they'll collect from you in the initial contact with said 'company' is your personal information.
They don't give a rat's bleep about lowering your tax bill.
