Today I happened to see one of the many fiction and true crime stories of “the prisoner escaped while being transferred.”
Today’s old NCIS New Orleans had a dead deer in the road and the two prison officers stopped and got out of the prison transfer bus to move it. Accomplices pounced on them and killed them so their main man could escape with them.
Scott Bakula as character Dwayne Pride investigated and was told about the deer ploy:
“So, you’re telling me the buck stopped here?”🦌

There was some youtube video regarding the capture of a woman and her lover that hired a hit man to kill the woman’s husband. Husband driving home after picking up their child from somewhere and the child strapped into the car seat.
Hit man had placed a tire in the road, husband gets out to move the tire and was shot numerous times and killed. They didn’t say how old or how long the child was sitting in the car seat.
