Ukraine may run out of air defense missiles by end of March
The New Voice of Ukraine ^ | Sun, March 17, 2024

Ukraine's armed forces are facing a serious shortage of ammunition for air defense systems to protect cities, and Russian air attacks will cause increasing losses, The Washington Post reports, citing Western officials on March 15.

Ammunition for some missile defense systems could be almost exhausted by the end of March, according to two Western officials who met with Ukrainian counterparts at a security conference last month.

Currently, Ukraine tries to shoot down four out of every five missiles fired at its cities. However, soon it will only be possible to try to down only one out of five, one official said.

"This will have a significant impact on life in Ukraine's cities, many of which have returned to relative normalcy over the past year as missile defenses have generally proved effective," said the Post.

On March 15, Russia launched a missile attack on Odesa. Two explosions were reported killing 21 people, including a medic and two rescuers who came to help after first explosion.

On March 13, Russia launched a series of strikes — high-rise buildings were destroyed in Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, and Myrnohrad, leaving at least 8 dead and more than 50 wounded.

And I say let's help Ukraine!

First, however, we need a comprehensive, thorough, and realtime online open results audit of all of the assistance ($$$, materiel, and etc) provided thus far, in order to rule out any corruption.

And, if even a farthing's worth of aid cannot be accounted for and proven legit...

...deal's off, and that's that.

And, if they run out, they must surrender, saving the US taxpayer billions, Ukrainian lives and preventing more lost territory. I see absolutely no downside to that scenario.

Doesn’t Ukraine have manufacturing plants producing ammunition and missiles?? The US and NATO have been developing Ukraine’s military since the USSR break-up. Surely providing weapons and ammo in-country was part of it.`

Vlad eliminated ALL their manufacturing early on, the Ukies are now totally 100 percent dependent on welfare weapons….and he can hit anywhere in Ukraine, from Lvov to Odessa with pinpoint accuracy.

US taxpayers have been paying everything from their Congress critters salaries to the meter maids., pensions to….they are now one hundred percent a welfare nation.

This is a Ukrainian managed site, which is hosted via Cloudfare nameservers in Kansas, as are some other "Ukrainian" sites posted to the forum.

One finds from them: "The New Voice of Ukraine has an audience of more than 3 million monthly unique readers, of which about 75% are from the USA."

About us

The date on that page is 19 July 2014, 06:35 PM / This is a long-running site, with nameservers interestingly operating in the US, west of Wichita, Kansas. "...founded in 2014...."

What a lie!

Everybody knows that the Ukies shoot down 42 out of every 32 missiles that the Russkies lob their way.

Who thinks we're stupid enough to believe they are running out of missiles.

What a load of BS!

There are funding issues. Then there is basic production capacity.

Patriot - 550 missiles per year
stinger - 480 per year
AIM-120. 1200 per year
