Singer Barry Manilow is set to co-host fashion mogul Michael Smith’s mega fundraiser for First Lady Jill Biden on Saturday in Palm Springs, California.
Jill Biden will headline the fundraiser alongside former U.S. ambassador to Spain James Costos and fashion designer Michael Smith, according to an invite obtained by Deadline.
“Copacabana” singer Barry Manilow will co-host the event alongside his husband, Garry Kief, former Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), her husband, Stewart Boxer, and Josh.ai founder, Alex Capecelatro, among several others.

Musically, there is no denying that Barry had a golden ear for catchy melodies and production techniques that created some great ad campaigns for fast food. This made him a millionaire over 40 years ago. But politically speaking. Barry has become set in his ways and proudly intolerant of any who don’t share his liberal world view.
I recall in the 1980’s reading tbat Barry Manilow stood up and left the guest couch of a talk show when someone mildly conservative walked onstage to be interviewed by the host.

I can only imagine what kind of people would attend any function hosted by Barry Manilow-especially if he might sing-hearing Copacabana has always made me want to run out into the road screaming-and all his other stuff sucks, too-after all, he used to write jingles for ad agencies.
