That’s the problem. He is not a convicted felon. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Not a conviction.

He grew up in gated community close to Williamsburg Virginia, the house was located just off a green at a prestigious golf course in the area. He was/is crazy, admits it, was charged with insanity, lots of therapy, had a stray cat colony at the medical facility he was incarcerated at. I’ve read several articles about him recently, apparently the Press feels for the guy.

What I’m reading here is that with all his therapy and counseling nobody told them that he probably was going to be shunned once he got out of his incarceration. Which was in reality was a long-term stay at a mental facility under lock and key with stray cats who depended on him. He got passes to go home on “leave” and the local community was not happy, and vocal about it.

His psychological staff did him no favors by shielding him from the reality that he probably would serve the rest of his time outside of the mental institution in complete disdain from the communities that he was chose to live and work.

I certainly hope he doesn’t go off his meds. It’s a sad story, and one that doctors and staff tried to mend but he is still very fragile and I’m sure there’s cautionary rumblings every where he makes his presence known. But the press loves him... there is no secret why either.
