It is a shame that this has to happen, as with the proper government Cuba could be turned into retirement paradise as many retiries are looking for a place in a warm climate. For an example take Cayman Islands amongst others..nice people, great food, great roads and hardly no crime, I know since I been there “Lucky me” quite a few times and with a little effort Cuba could have the same thing. But as with everything, leave it up to socialism it will kill the goose which lays the golden eggs and a good portion of people are too ignorant and stupid to see it.

Once one falls, the others may just follow. The “refugees” from those places will end up destabilizing the stable islands.
Ron Paul’s prediction of a major black swan event will likely be from all of Biden’s undocumented democrats crossing the border.

Cuba’s decline and the degradation of life there includes the moral quality of the people. With exceptions, the Cuban people today have a criminal mentality inspired by the profound criminality of the regime. At best, even with freedom a pro-US capitalist government, it will take a generation or more of physical and moral rehabilitation for Cuba to become a decent country again.
