Gaza was a part of Egypt. Then after the 1973 war Egypt abandoned it. It has basically been a no man’s land all these years.
So, let Egypt take it back.

Even Israel’s military and intelligence people have said eliminating Hamas is not possible. Most of the world views this as Netanyahu wanting to slaughter as many civilians as possible. Hezbollah has threatened to intercede should Israel go into Rafah leading to a regional war which Israel and the US are unlikely to win. The US has insufficient military assets in the region to do much in an all out war and is likely to come off as impotent while much of Israeli infrastructure will be destroyed. Already it is claimed that 500k Israeli citizens have left and should the war expand, another million or more are expected to leave. There’s no easy choices here, but the risks incurred by entering Rafah isn’t worth it imo. But Netanyahu might do it anyway to save his political skin.
Biden and his supporters keep demonstrating how much of their agendas and narratives are exposing their rank hypcocrisy.
As for Netanyahu, he is done. He will follow in Churchill's footsteps and disappear after completing this war. I believe he knows that, so he has no problem being intransigent. Regardless of whether the Shin Bet or the Mossad was at fault, the worst attack in Israel's history occurred on his watch. He needs to step down gracefully when the war-fighting phase concludes. If not, he will be forced out by politics; it will be ugly, and that is what he will be remembered for. He was the PM during the worst terrorist attack in Israel's history and a bloody fight for power when the war was over. I personally like him as a leader, but his time is done. He may be the FDR of Israeli history, but no leader will be allowed to serve as long as he has again.

Many Israelis hold dual citizenship; if 500k have left, they will return after the war. They still pay taxes and are still citizens. That said, how many military reserve Israelis with exemptions could have avoided the fight but instead returned to Israel to fight Hamas?
The DOD has the assets; the real problem is how much of our assets we wasted in Ukraine.
Why is everyone so upset that Israel is actually fighting a war? Not the BS we did in Iraq and Afghanistan that wasted so many precious lives. Not the hearts and minds BS in Vietnam, the WWII mindset. The objective was to defeat Germany and Japan, and nobody went home until it was done. Even now, Israel is restraining itself. If they conducted a total war, Hamas would have been destroyed months ago. If I were Israel, the next time a Western Country whines about Hamas casualty figures, I would remind the West about Dresden, Tokyo, and Hiroshima. Dresden alone had around 30,000 civilians, but because of undocumented refugees, the number could have gone as high as 250,000—Tokyo firebombing; 100,000 dead. Just those two attacks alone accounted for between 130,000 civilian casualties and 350,000 civilian casualties.
Hamas has to be destroyed. They have four fully functional Battalions left in Rafah; they must be destroyed as a fighting force before Israel is safe and the Gazans can have peace themselves.

Well we are at that point now where our relationship with Israel is most definitely hurting our global interests. It’s the tail wagging the dog and many Americans are getting sick of the fact that AIPAC has corrupted most of our politicians to do their bidding. This is all coming to a head and you can thank Netanyahu for that. Why do you think Schumer came forward the other day? It’s because he knows Netanyahu has gone too far threatening US interests in the region and must be restrained.
