Trump has never learned that you can usually make the same point with a bit of softer language. For instance, by making the statement a question, which makes the hearer think about the content.
“Don’t you agree that Jews who back democrats might be perceived as opposing Israel, since Democrats are not friends of Israel? Might they even be seen as hating Israel?”
Of course, softening the language would result in less faux-offended press coverage.
Ordinarily you might be right. But the people we are dealing with here are going to find a single word and twist a bad story around it no matter how it is phrased.
The left doesn’t just do this to Trump, they do it to others.
Problem is, we never reciprocate in the same fashion.
