“That seems more than INTRUSIVE.”
So, the situation is this... the Irish constitution currently has the following language:
“The State recognises the Family as the natural primary and fundamental unit group of Society, and as a moral institution possessing inalienable and imprescriptible rights, antecedent and superior to all positive law.”
“The State pledges itself to guard with special care the institution of Marriage, on which the Family is founded, and to protect it against attack.”
“In particular, the State recognises that by her life within the home, woman gives to the State a support without which the common good cannot be achieved.”
“The State shall, therefore, endeavour to ensure that mothers shall not be obliged by economic necessity to engage in labour to the neglect of their duties in the home.”
The referenda were to replace all that with some gender-neutral, homosexual-friendly wording that downplayed marriage and traditional gender roles. Voters said no.
Correct. Some gobbldegook about “durable relationships” was in the text intended to shred Article 41. All about continuing the communistic “abolition of the family”, obviously.
Sounds like a sound policy.
The ONLY way we take America back, is to get all foreign ownership of businesses out of the country. We don’t get Tyson foods firing Americans and replacing them with invaders. We don’t have Boeing destroyed. We shouldn’t allow government funded Universities to educate foreigners.
That education part may seem counterintuitive, but it drives up the cost for American kids, and begins bending the thought processes towards say China, and allows spying.
America should be ONLY for those who believe in the American country as founded PERIOD. Let the chinese, and others go to their schools in their homeland. We have tried the mix and match world, where there are no homogenous people in the country, we still have wars, and more of them. We did MUCH better in the 1800’s when the immigrants were forced by peer pressure, to become part of ONE Nation. Italians, Germans, Russians, Swedes, French became Americans. Even so called hispanics, were treated as caucasian. What we see now are not Hispanics, but like American Indians from S America and Mexico. The rejects, who have little skills but grunt work.
