The entire point of a political party is to bring together a lot of people from diverse backgrounds and points of view, but who have certain basic principles in common with each other, so that all of them will get at least some of what they want, if their party’s candidate wins the next election. When somebody like this moron goes and says that he will not vote for his party’s candidate for president of the United States, he should have also turned in his resignation from the Republican party. This kind of action, publicly creating disunity within a party, should never be permitted. Who he decides to vote for, in the privacy of the voting booth, and who among his family, friends and colleagues that he discusses it with on a private basis, is his concern and not anyone else’s. But when he does this stuff publicly, he should be drummed out of the party.

Exactly.

There was absolutely no reason in the world for him to go public about it—unless, of course, he wants to help Biden get reelected, and wants ‘to get in good’ with Biden, and particularly Harris after the election.

He may be looking for a cabinet position in the Harris Administration.
