Out of money, Pentagon chief tries to convince allies of commitment to Ukraine

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Tuesday sought to convince European allies that President Joe Biden's administration is still committed to supporting Ukraine, even as Washington has essentially run out of money to continue arming Kyiv and few signs that Congress will move to replenish funds.

Austin is leading the monthly meeting known as the Ukraine defense contact group (UDCG), held at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, of about 50 allies that have been militarily supporting Ukraine.

"The United States will not let Ukraine fail ... This coalition will not let Ukraine fail," Austin said at the start of the meeting.

Washington has essentially run out of money

Essentially? Is that how they categorize us already having gone into debt by the trillions? If John Doe, personally, had gone (proportionately) in debt by that amount, he's not "essentially" out of money. He's beyond bankrupt. Oh my, Germany is pledging 10,000 howitzer rounds for Ukraine in its aid package

How generous

Ukraine has been going through 6000 howitzer rounds per day. They have squandered so much of Americas stockpile of howitzer shells so fast that they are down to 2000 currently

All that’s been keeping Ukraine in the fight is indiscriminate use of US and NATO supplied high tech weaponry

The Ukraine has essentially blown through most of the NATO weapons stockpiles reserved to fight WWIII in Europe and the cupboards are bare.

Both America and the EU have off shored their industrial base to China to such a degree they can’t replenish their arsenals

Russia is mobilizing and ramping up their use of shells to 10,000 rounds per day.

This war has been a lost cause for over a year and negotiated settlement must be completed while there is still a Ukraine on whose behalf there is to negotiate

We have three choices

- Negotiated settlement that ends the carnage

- collapse of Ukraine resistance probably followed by Russian total victory or at least humiliating terms of surrender and no assets to rebuild

- Direct NATO intervention and WWIII.

It’s that simple and clear cut

Unfortunately, the US and NATO have allowed Ukraine to squander the weapon stockpiles for WWIII so we don’t have enough left to intervene and fight it our selves

And we need to reserve enough of our existing stockpiles to deter China , to whom we have off shored the industrial base need to build replacement weapons, from attacking Taiwan who supplies us with the sophisticated electronic devices we need to build the high tech smart weapons we rely on to beat China in the impending war in Asia

And we expect the moron leaders who got us into this disaster in first place to solve the problems they themselves created

Americans pay to secure Ukraine’s borders while millions of welfare seeking barbarians and terrorists flood through ours.

ransomnote: They are simply transfering the wealth of Americans to the Deep Staters in the Ukraine (includes NATO members).

They are telling us the Ukraine is winning when in fact it is propped up 'for show' by American taxpayer dollars. It has no economy or potential for one now that so many are dead, fled, and the infrastruture is gone. 'Winning' means becoming a completely dependent satellite on the Deep State dole. If we could stop them from bleeding America to prop up their proxy, the world would see the obvious - the Ukraine lost quite some time ago, and we don't 'urgently' need to send them more money, even if Biden is 'hurtin' for his 10%.
