The gun violence episode was good as far as it went — which was to focus on criminal use of guns. But they could have gone farther. Violence committed with a gun is not necessarily a bad thing. If someone violently threatened and attacked you or your family, and if you were able to stop the attack with a firearm, your use of the firearm might be termed “gun violence” but it would be a good thing, not an evil action.
"Gun violence" is an Orwellian term designed to move the focus to guns and away from action by people.
