Poland and Ukraine no doubt have a difficult history. However, Poland was erased as a nation for centuries thanks to Russia. Hundreds of thousands of Poles mass murdered by the Moscow Kremlin in the last century. Russian revanchists would be more than happy to do to Poland, again, what they are doing to Ukraine now. There isn’t really a debate here about what the bigger threat to Poland: Ukraine or genocidal Russkiy Mir.

Either Russia is NOW stopped cold, or the next weeks' reports will show Axe a fiction writer. Given his history, I suspect the latter.

But I will save this article and comments for the coming weeks, when more Axe articles might be forthcoming to report Russia not "stopped cold" after all.

Time will tell. The press expects us not to remember.

California was at one time overwhelmingly non-Hispanic white. As of the 1940 Census, non-Hispanic whites and Hispanics of any rate represented 89.5% and 6.0% of the state's population. As of the 2020 Census, those numbers were 34.7% and 39.4%, respectively. The vast shift in these numbers represents a combination of factors, the largest of which was immigration, legal and illegal, from Mexico and elsewhere in Latin America. However, do these Hispanics want reunion with Mexico? The absence of border control under Biden and the increased power of the Mexican cartels pose the greater risk for long term American control of California.

Ukraine's borders have always been fluid. Soviet policy was to dilute ethnic nationalism by resettling Russians into the other republics of the USSR. In the case of Ukraine, the Soviets added Russian territory into that country in order to dilute Ukrainian nationalism. Lenin, Stalin, and Khrushchev all added ethnically non-Ukrainian areas to Ukraine. The question arises: do the Russian majority areas of Ukraine want reunion with Russia? Perhaps they do, but ceding these territories to Russia may be as detrimental to Ukrainian security as the loss of Sudetenland was to Czechoslovakia.
