This was ALWAYS an unwinnable war for Ukraine, without NATO putting their troops on the ground there is no way Ukraine could win.

Z being an idiot, should have understood the geopolitical realities of his nation, rather than listening to people whispering sweet nothings in his ear, promising him lies and falsehoods.

Putin may have invaded anyway, but best case for Ukraine would be to deny quick victory, show Russia they would pay a high cost to continue, and then push for some soft of peace treaty... Instead, we are now years into a slog, in which Ukraine has been flattened and an entire generation of Ukrainian young men have been killed.

Letting himself being conned into a proxy war for the west, was a fools errand. Instead they have just watched their nation be destroyed and their citizenry and young men slaughtered for years now, and still not actively making a peace treaty a priority.

The west should be ashamed of themselves for this entire mess as far as I’m concerned.
