House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) is floating an ambitious deadline for the chamber to pass Ukraine aid, urging GOP leaders to send a Senate-passed foreign aid package to President Biden’s desk by the end of next week.
“The clock is ticking, and we have to get the bipartisan national security bill over the finish line before we leave town next Friday, March 22 — before we leave town,” Jeffries said Wednesday during a press briefing in the Capitol. “It’s reckless to do otherwise.”
Jeffries, as leader of the minority party, has virtually no power to control what legislation comes to the floor. And Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), while voicing his support for more Ukraine aid, is opposed to the $95 billion foreign aid package that passed last month through the Senate, where 70 senators — including 22 Republicans — supported the legislation.

If only Democrats and GOP Establishment were so concerned about American citizens.
Nightmare scenario: President Jeffries.
That might happen if the Rats retake the House, Congress refuses to certify Trump’s victory, and both POTUS and VPOTUS offices remain vacant during an impasse for several weeks.
I remember that.
Too bad it turned out that Cheney is one of the bad guys.
And the Discharge Petition won’t get the required signatures either.
STAY STRONG MIKE!!! JEFFRIES IS A NOTHING BURGER!!
Don’t do it Mike. If Democrats are pressuring, it is the wrong thing to do.
Nation Security Bill, that what they call money for Ukraine, Taiwan and for more in-processing at the border these days.
I prefer the house waits on this until we get a good border closing bill that also returns illegals to their home countries.
If we lass it, we BANKRUPT OUR COUNTRY, WHICH HELPS BOTH THE RUSKIES AND THE DEMOCRATS!!! LOSE LOSE ,

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
First, the bottom line ...
Consider that political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because it is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
That being said, why doesn't Johnson argue that Justice Joseph Stary had noted that the Constitution doesn't give the peacetime Congress the power to use taxpayer dollars for foreign aid?
“ If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
In fact, since Congress has repeatedly shown that it cannot be trusted to police itself, Trump-supporting patriots need to effectively apply Section 3 of the 14th Amendment and vote Jeffries, Johnson and corrupt lawmakers who help to pass such a bill out of office this election year for supporting open rebellion against the federal government's constitutionally limited powers.
"14th Amendment, Section 3: No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."
On second thought, it's actually up to us patriots to effectively apply Section 3 to ALL state and federal lawmakers by sending them home this election year, except for MTG, Gaetz & Company (and others?), for not upholding their oaths to respect the fed's constitutionally enumerated powers for a variety of issues.
Majority in new poll say Biden, most members of Congress don’t deserve new term: Gallup (2.2.24)
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
From the congressional record:
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
Voters Doubt Biden’s Leadership and Favor Trump, Times/Siena Poll Finds (3.2.24)
70% of New York voters say Biden not fit to serve another term: poll (2.20.24)
Incumbents need to be replaced with Trump-supporting patriot lawmakers in November so that hopeful Trump 47 will not be a lame duck president from the first day of his second term in office, but will be supported by the new Congress to finish draining the swamp.
Again, consider that corrupt political party and media fuss about "obsolete" electoral college is because the electoral college is the only thing stopping the corrupt political parties that have pirated control of state and federal governments from establishing a permanent puppet presidency that will unquestioningly sign unconstitutional taxing and spending bills into law.
Deal first with the 10 million Biden Illegal Aliens.
The concept of funding a corrupt money-laundering machine’s direct attacks on Russia is insane.
And here we are.
The Pentagon can sell one of their aircraft carriers so they can raise the money to donate to Ukraine.
Got a yacht payment coming due, Hakeem?
