The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump's classified documents trial granted the former president's legal team a 10-day extension to make filings in the case, despite opposition to the motion from special counsel Jack Smith.
Florida-based federal Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday ruled that Trump may file replies to motions by March 24, 2025.

It’s not a “blow” to anyone. This is standard courtesy in every courtroom in America...except ones where Trump is the defendant. So the left is losing their sh*t over it.

This is a comment about the beginnings of a conversation in this thread.

One of the most frustrating things is to be ignored.
Anything that slows down Jack Smith’s rush to bring Trump to trial is a “blow” to the Democrats. They would have preferred this case be tried in DC. Trump would have been convicted and in prison by now. Then they “lucked up” and Judge Cannon was assigned to the case. They haven’t been able to intimidate her into just agreeing to whatever they want.
The Democrats want Trump in Court in another trial before November. They may have to bring more charges in DC if none of the other cases can be advanced. The Fulton County case is all but in ashes so that one is going no where. However, the crazy lady may just bring another defamation case against Trump. She could file tomorrow, jury selection could be in August, and the trial held in October with the verdict delivered the day before the election. She will be awarded one trillion dollars.

Just saw the highlights. Neither side got a home run out of it. Except the expectation was there would be from both the right and Jym Jordan and Comer.
