Children of the West will not be sent to die against Russia — as long as Ukraine’s army is kept from being defeated — President Zelensky said in his interjection into the ongoing debate over France’s Macron’s comments on deploying NATO against Moscow.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with French broadcaster BFMTV and engaged with controversial remarks by President Emmanuel Macron, that nothing was off the table when it comes to defeating Putin’s Russia and further NATO involvement shouldn’t be ruled out. The comments have caused concern across the NATO alliance in recent weeks with other national and military leaders insisting such a deployment was totally off the table.
Yet Europeans need not worry about fighting Russia directly, Zelensky said, as long as Ukraine is successful in doing it for them, another chance for the leader to hammer home his often-repeated point that wider war in Europe can be avoided by giving Kyiv more money and more weapons.

Um, you’re not in NATO, douchebag, and never will be.
LOL!
Have you ever had your sleep disrupted for days on end while under severe pressure? Have you personally experienced the loudness of warfare and the constant feeling of being hunted?
I’m not particularly sympathetic to the man, but lack of sleep can do things to you - you might be surprised, no drugs needed.
24 hour continuous operations during live fire with a howitzer for 72 hours straight nonstop.
Never once acted like a tweaker.
Your point?
My point is that lack of sleep affects people. And was your unit taking casualties at the time?
Were you under return fire?
Yes, 72 hours is quite a while without sleep, those guns are LOUD, and I respect that you have the experience. But please don’t minimize the fact that Ukraine has been at war for _years_ now in a tenuous position - and the longer it goes, the more friends and colleagues one loses, the harder it can get. I’m no Ukrainian, but I understand these types of symptoms.
It sounds like you of all people have the experience to know very well what my point is.
It’s pretty stressful slinging HE downrange nonstop and do it correctly without screwing up the firing data because you can go to jail for messing up the firing data.
Fire out of the “box”?
Rear of the piece face the piece fall in, bend over for the rectal inspection coming.
And mistakes can kill you on a howitzer, so you’re going “pleasedontscrewuppleasedontscrewup”.
And you’ve been awake for 72 straight no sleep.
No, none of us had the tweaker twitches from it.
Zelensky sure likes sending white Christian men to their deaths.
> And you’ve been awake for 72 straight no sleep.
> No, none of us had the tweaker twitches from it.
OK, I get that.
But thankfully it sounds like _you_ weren’t constantly on the _receiving_ end! :-)
Ukraine has been under missile, drone, and artillery fire for quite a while.
There was once a teacher, he didn’t twitch either. But there was a sudden loud noise - someone had lit off a fire cracker in the classroom. The teacher was nowhere to be seen: he was on the floor looking around.
Surely you know what _some_ of our Vietnam vets were like after their return?
Zelensky hasn’t been anywhere near anything until after the interview and ordnance landed 300+ meters away as he was giving a giggle tour to a dignitary.
Kyiv has been attacked by missiles and drones. Also, he travels - so we really do not know what all he’s been near.
