We live in New York State where about 70% of the population is able to get some sort of hand out. Free stoves, free furnaces, free window air conditioners, free water heaters, housing subsidies. The list goes on and on.
You wouldn’t BELIEVE how many ne’er do wells that couldn’t’ make it on their own down South or the Midwest come hauling back up here for the free giveaways and “social safety nets.”
That’s certainly true, such as Medicaid for people with low incomes. But there is nothing about going in for a new job and quitting after a week that leads to more benefits.
