Dear God, I’m in tears over this. I am SO sorry for the girls parents, siblings and family. May the poor child receive God’s blessing and RIP.
I went to high school 20 miles from there in Chesterfield, MO back in the late 60s. At that time, we had only a couple of blacks in the school and it was very peaceful and education was a serious business.
When I went to Mizzou, we had a wonderful cook in our fraternity named “Pearl.” Sweetest lady you’d ever want to know. Her son worked with her doing dishes, though, and he was of the same ilk that murdered this poor girl. He had a huge chip on his shoulder and asked me to go with him “to the projects.” I knew he was trying to set me up for something like this incident. So I’ve known this murderous type since 1969.
Something went very wrong in the 1950s and 1960s, such that the "sweetest lady" managed to raise feral monster.
Oh, yeah ... That was the so-called "civil" "rights" "movement" ...
