Same here. I moved from North Tampa, FL to a rural town (pop. 2k) in what I refer to as the "Reelfoot Lake" area of NW Tennessee. Around here everybody is on a first name basis and as friendly as can be, regardless of race. I've been renovating a huge, old Southern "mansion" (the appraiser's word) that I picked up for a song.

Some of the young men that work for me here have come to be almost like sons.

If wokeness ever invades this haven, my next home will probably have cacti and rattlesnakes in the front yard.
