Has anyone figured out if they have bullets?
Those sidearms most assuredly are at condition one. Ours were when we stood guard post 9/11 in the airports. As for the M4s we had a mix of A2/A3s and M4s anyone above the rank of Sgt had live rounds in there mags but they were at condition 3. E5 and under had A2/3 at condition 4 with an empty mag in the weapon and five loaded mags in the battle rattle that was for regular soldiers. Those who were 95 bravo fully qualified MPs regardless of rank had M4s condition 3 slung over and M9s at condition one regular soldiers back then didn’t have sidearms post 9/11 in the airports only the MPs.
Interesting, if they did that for 9/11 security then some level of security may be in place for these people, even if it doesn’t match your situation at that time and place back then.
I was a 95B in the NY State Guard (not National Guard). I understand that the 95B MOS has changed. I forget what it is now, I suppose I could look it up, but I'm going back to bed.
Whenever I talk to a troop in active service, nowadays. and tell him I was a 95B, I get a quizzical look. :^)
