One, Asian women can’t drive. Two, she should’ve stayed in China. Three, hard to gin up a lot of sympathy for a Harvard dumb ass having a Harvard reunion of dumbasses.
They are ruining Texas. What kind of idiot drives off into a stock tank? And all my time in Texas I’ve never heard of that happening even once.

Couple days ago I had the throttle stick on my truck. Lucky I was far enough away from anything solid to get things under control. It was pretty sobering. Todays fly by wire control systems work amazing when they work, but when they get confused things can get very interesting.

Oh, heck, we had a 50-something fisherman trying to turn his pickup truck around on a causeway (yes it’s wide enough), at night, a few years back, and, same thing: He errantly put the truck into reverse and went into the lake and drowned B4 he could be rescued, despite other fishermen nearby who saw the whole thing happen. Nobody could break a window from outside even with a tire iron because you can’t swing or hammer a tool through the water fast enough to shatter the glass. The guy had fished there for many years.

If FReepers would be honest, there’s no one on here who hasn’t at least once made an errant shift like that. It’s just usually not when a few feet can kill you, and usually not in a vehicle with Tesla-like acceleration.
