In the past week, United has had four major incidents involving its jets, the most recent being a hard landing followed by the jet running off of the runway at Houston’s airport. A wheel fell of of a jet on takeoff at SFO, a plane flying from Hawaii had an engine problem as did a plane flying to the west coast.
Yesterday afternoon, United flight 821 had to make an emergency landing at LAX due to loss of all hydraulics in one of the A320’s triple redundant hydraulic systems.
