Pastrami is actually a ROMANIAN thing.

Outside of Matzah and anything made with it,as well as kosher killed meat), I can't think of ANYTHING at all, that one should call "JEWISH FOOD".

Ryebread is German and other Middle European bread. So are bagels and other breadstuffs.

Potato pancakes? Yes...Polish and also some other nations' dish as well.

Corned beef? An Irish dish and also some middle European nations' too.

I enjoy learning about food history/dishes, and that's why and how I know about this.

Yeah, well, there used to be a lot of Jews in Romania, Germany, and Poland. From about the years 70 AD until 1939 AD give or take.
