More to the point, it seems completely absurd to quibble over the fact that the Russians invaded Ukraine in Feb 2022 with a massive mechanized force, not to mention hundreds of air and missile attacks on the day.
Requires overhead, targeting device -type drone for long distance. FPV is basically a guided “artlllery shell” - not launched from a heavy field artillery gun.
You are just being silly.
Even the Russians don’t deny they started this. They only try to justify it on one pretext or another.

Would not 6 miles of fishing line attached to a drone lead back to the operators position and provide an easy target for the Ukrainians? I certainly would not want to be standing at the starting point of the cable.
